Operational dashboards turn the event stream into decisions — what's flowing, what's stalling, where the bottleneck is. This is a planned capability, not a shipped one.
⚑ Roadmap — planned, not yet implemented. There is no metrics store or dashboard layer in openWCS today.
The intended capability
openWCS already emits a rich event stream from orders, moves and adjustments. KPI dashboards are the planned layer that aggregates those events into live, actionable metrics.
Planned: picks, put-aways and moves per hour, trended against the day's plan, so the floor can see whether it's keeping pace.
Planned: dwell time per stage — induct, buffer, station — to surface where handling units pile up before it becomes a jam.
Planned: utilisation of aisles, cranes/shuttles and conveyor loops, so you can spot the hot-spot and the idle resource at a glance.
Planned: order and wave SLA attainment — what shipped on time vs at risk — so cut-offs are managed proactively, not after the fact.
Planned: a metrics store that rolls the event stream into time-series the dashboards read — the foundation that does not exist yet.
Planned: configurable dashboards for floor and management views, refreshed live from the metrics store. Designed for, not yet built.
